Coeur d’Alene School District Maps and Rankings

One of the most common reasons people move to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho is so their children will have a better life. And if you are relocating for work or another reason, you’ll be happy to know that this is a great place to raise children!

Public school quality is one data point into the overall picture of a child’s life, but it’s an important one. If your kids attend school, they’ll be there for about 6 hours a day for over half of the year, so you want them to be safe, get a good education, and be around high-quality peers.

Also, even if a school is slightly slow average, it could be a perfectly fine school for your kids to attend–everyone has different experiences and preferences.

Also worth noting that there is school choice in Idaho and you can request to transfer to another school within the district even if it’s not your assigned school. There may be a waiting period and a lottery, but it’s always a possibility. And public schooling only scratches the surface of school options here–there are charter schools, private schools, and homeschooling all throughout Coeur d’Alene and Idaho in general.

(All data comes from Greatschools and you should do your own research regarding schools. As a real estate agent, I make no assertion of the accuracy of the data, nor do I recommend any schools or have any subjective preference of one over the other–I’m merely republishing Greatschools’ rankings at the time of this article’s publication.)
